R-22 heat pump with air handler. Blower wheel and evaporator coil have biological growth starting to build up. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. 20x25x5 air filter needs to be changed. Refrigerant levels are in range. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Reversing valve and defrost control board are working as they should. 55/7.5 auxiliary motor start is weak and should be changed. Air handler should be cleaned to eliminate the biological growth and a UV light is recommended in order to keep the system clean.

Customer stated an interest in adding some attic insulation. He is also concerned with some very large windows living and dining rooms. An energy audit has been scheduled for 12-3pm tomorrow.
Customer as renewed his membership at $20/month and has back paid to May to reinstate his labor warranty.

Upon arrival, technician talked to home on owner. Technician started on condenser where technician found that they compressor did have a high in rush amp technician suggest a compressor saver to help lower it by 40%. Technician also found on the vapor line. There is starting to have a crack where they brazed the line set. At this time it is not leaking refrigerant it is something that the homeowner needs to be aware of. Technician found the running amps on compressor was a little high It is 20. Technician went to attic where he found proper insulation blower was clean. Everything was up to the technicians standards.

Isolated R and Y at the indoor unit and blew the 3amp fuse. Replaced.
Primary electrical control contractor on the condenser unit has a low voltage coil that's controlled by the tstat wires and was shorted. Pulled tstat wires off and OHMed with a 2ohm reading. Replaced.
System started just fine after and maintained operations for 15min.
The nest tstat base is compromised, everything I attempted to maneuver the base the nest would power cycle.
Both homeowners left and entrusted me to their home. Before husnand left he gave me a verbal authorization to "whatever you need to do to fix it and we'll pay it".
