Jake was fine. I had the impression my work was scheduled to be done and it was really doing an estimate for work I’d given a complete description of. And the estimate was higher than expected. So I paid for a service trip to get an estimate and the appointment was delayed and ended up being during a time I said I wouldn’t be here.
Mark quickly identified the source of our leak, reported it and explained what happened and what we can do to prevent it from happening again in the future.

I dont do these reviews most of the time because theres never really any thing to say about the service from you company you rely on to keep your equipment operating. But now is my chance to say I had the best technician from Comfort Experts Ive ever had in 25 years Ill been partners with a company. You find it weird I say partners with the company? Mike D diagnosed it was low on freon was low and spent 3 hours working on finding the problem. I felt he really cared about Finding and fixing the issue with the unit they installed. I would give Mike D a 10 on all aspects of has drive to solve and help and work with his company to reduce the cost of the repair. Thanks Mike

2023 Ducane Furnace Checked and tightened all electrical connections Changed customer provided filter Drain was clear and draining at this time Blower motor and wheel were acceptable Evaporator coil was acceptable 2017 Trane Straight Cool Checked and tightened all electrical connections Dual run cap is right at the manufacture tolerance on the fan side Primary electrical unit was acceptable Compressor inrush (64) is over manufactured LRA (52) Refrigerant levels were acceptable at this time Fan blades and motor were acceptable Condenser coils were acceptable Cleared debris from the bottom of the unit Washed condenser coils from the inside out Waxed the top of the unit Repair needed is dual run cap Recommendations Today are UV system and Micro Air Soft start kit for both upstairs and downstairs.
Tried to call it wouldn't work
Upon arrival customer stated after tune up done couple weeks ago system did not run properly had another technician come out to fix issue after technicians fixed issue customers still claim the unit was not working properly during evaluation found that refrigerant levels were showing extremely off subcool was showing low superheat was showing overcharged Open air handler cabin to find that TXV sensing bulb was on the lower portion of the pipe move sensing bulb to the top refrigerant levels did not change ran a pump down test on compressor to make sure the compressor is still working properly system did pump down TXV needs to be changed Condensate pan is also missing the drip plate. Need plastic condensate drip plate for condensate pan along with new TXV AIRHANDLER MODEL – AMST48CU1300 SERIAL – 2408246207 HEATPUMP MODEL – ALZS5BA4810 SERIAL – 2409171875
Arrived to no cool. Thermostat has no voltage. Indoor control board is flashing lights and giving E05 code. Checked 3 amp fuse to find it was in tact. 24v coming into board from transformer and no voltage at legacy connections.
Customer states that the house looses power when the AC is running. Customer loses power at the main breaker. Checked all amp draws on the package unit and let it run for 45 minutes with no issues. Customer states that when the main trips they are using a lot of power. The air conditioner, the water heater, the dryer and the stove were all being used. Technician diagnosed the main breaker as the problem. We have already been here recently to give estimate for repair.
Arrived to no cool. Compressor saver had failed and shorted the outdoor unit, preventing it from coming on. Performed hard reset on the system and replaced 2.5 ton compressor saver. Performed function check. System operating normally at time of departure.
Two system tune up performed today. Downstairs system is an Amana heat pump installed in 2024. Upstairs system is a good an heat pump installed in 2013. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Both systems are clean. Both systems have a UV system in working order. Refrigerant levels are acceptable. All amp draws are within spec. Both outdoor units were washed and waxed.
Perform tune up during tune-up found that the indoor air handler has heavy amounts of biological growth on the evaporator coil and blower wheel as well check refrigerant levels dual run cap primary electrical unit and defrost board found at the dual run cap is rated at a 45/5 with a plus or minus 6% compressor side was reading a 38 below tolerance fan side was Ring 1.2 recommendations for system are level 2 duct cleaning uv200 micro airsoft start kit dual run cap left with system in cool
Install 42k downflow electric furnace and coil keep current filtration
Super tune up performed today on a 13 year old Goodman heat pump. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Biological growth is present inside of the air handler. All amp draws are within spec. No drain safety is installed and p trap needs to be rebuilt to include vents and proper slope. Refrigerant levels are in range. Outdoor unit was washed and waxed.
Installed 20×24 return grill.
Install 48k downflow heat pump with standard filtration and code kit
Replacing air handler only level 1 42k
Performed tune up everything has been recently replaced or upgraded customer stated he told booking person that she must be mistaken that there is no need at this time that we where just out 5 min ago and everything has been tooking care of thus far
Customer would like to speak with an electrician regarding installing a generator lock out switch and a 30 amp generator circuit. Electrician set up to visit today. Super tune up performed today on a 6 year old Trane heat pump with air handler. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. All amp draws are within spec. Biological growth is present inside of the air handler. Blower wheel needs to be cleaned. Suggest a level 2 duct cleaning to clean all of the ducts an including the evaporator coil and the blower wheel. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Vapor line needs to be insulated. Outdoor unit was washed and waxed.
Leak found in lower right hand corner of the evaporator coil. Coil is out of warranty. Comfort advisor is scheduled to meet with the customer regarding air handler replacement vs full system replacement. Customer is also interested in the possibility of a package unit. Emailing repair estimate to the customer as well.
Arrived to no cool. System showing a "locked rotor" code. Found that the 45/5 dual run capacitor and the compressor saver had both failed. Replaced both parts under warranty. Performed function check. System running and cooling the home upon departure.

Arrived to no cool. Discovered that the heat pump had shut down on a high pressure switch. Performed hard reset on the system and performed a function check. System running normally at time of departure. Found that there is not enough return air to the down flow air handler. Per Brian we need to cut in a return grill. Need to return on Thursday with a 20×25 grill.
Installed customer's thermostat and while installing customers thermostat found that thermostat wires were shorted and also remounted thermostat left with system and cool
Emailed price of the compressor and refrigerant. TOTAL $9,012.00
Super tune up performed today on a carrier heat pump with air handler installed in 2012. Blower wheel is dirty and should be cleaned. System shows low on charge. Delta T at 11 degrees. Heavy corrosion on the evaporator coil performed leak search and could not identify a leak in the coil or the condenser. Charged unit with 24oz of 410a refrigerant. System running and cooling upon departure.
Cooling tune performed on a ten year old Goodman package unit. All electrical connections are tight no corrosion, blower motor and wheel clean, all gauge readings acceptable, filter was acceptable, coil washed and waxed, system was working properly upon departure.
Arrived to no heat. Found that the low stage furnace pressure switch had failed. Replaced switch and performed function check n system running and heating the home upon departure. Customer requested a plumber to come out. She needs a toilet replaced and would like a price on moving a sink. Customer requested an electrician to come out. She is concerned her solar system is losing efficiency. She also wants to ensure that her electrical is safe. Plumber and electrician are set to come on Friday.
Customer states that he lost power to the home a while ago and the thermostat went blank. He put new batteries in but did not reset the time and date. Technician reset the time and date and system came on. Technician suspects that the original batteries were bad and caused the thermostat to lose programs when the power was lost. Ensured that the drains were clear. System running and cooling the home upon departure.
