Regretting past install with your company
No issues with heat pump install or service. I had my previously unfinished sunroom vent disconnected and sealed with pump install and technician said he just disconnected and sealed it and it would be no issue to reconnect if I ever finished and sealed room. I had your company come out today to reconnect vent or plan to after assessment. Was quoted 2100 on what was assured to me last year was an easy quick fix. Technician today said he was not sure what exactly your previous installers did last year but they left it in a state that to reconnect would be anything but easy or cheap due to previous tech disposing of large portion of vent from looks of it. How can a vent that was blowing great last year be disconnected and now it’s 2100 to reattach??? Definitely seems like I was not left in the best condition after he disconnected it and said reattachment would be simple in future.
Everyone with company has been polite and professional and very respectful in all interactions.
Lesson I learned is to get more detailed information on what exactly is getting done in your attic and then check on work during service. Going to get multiple bids to correct this issue

Homeowner (90yo) greeted me with a claim "I think it's at the end of its life".
I completed a thorough evaluation of the system and found that there is a history of refrigerant recharge and capacitor replacement.
The filter needs replacement.
Drain line is clear but has rust sediment.
The evaporator coil has an oil spot and leaks detected.
UV bulb not functional.
Blower motor has oil present.
Wheel is dirty.
Burners have corrosion on it.
Inducer fan motor has slightly higher amps than rated.
The compressor inrush amps exceed manufacturers specifications.
Compressor saver is compromised.
Surge protector is out on the condenser unit.
The homeowner agreed to Saturday 1/18/25 @10am for a CA appointment. I spoke to her son and he will be there to help the process.

For this evaluation I showed up to the customers home and she stated that last night the system was only blowing out cold air and not heating. While inspecting the system she had turned it on, and everything was working like it should and I was not able to replicate the issue. The only previous error code was HPCO but it was not showing when I was there. The indoor temperature was 75° and the heat was blowing out at 95°.
I converted the customer over to the new membership as well as got her signed up for a three-star plan for an additional 5 years of parts and labor warranty.

For this super tune-up I inspected the customers air handler and condenser, all equipment was measuring within manufacturer specs and running well. Customer has pretty much everything he needs to keep his system in good shape and running smoothly. The one thing I would recommend to the customer would be whole home surge protection to protect all the electronics in the home from power surges or lightning strikes.
