This survey is for service provided on Margie Moore's AC unit on 11/18/24. The unit was not cooling and the temperature was 80 degrees inside the house. Comfort Experts responded in a very timely manner and was able to resolve the issue quickly . The technician was very polite and professional. We are back on the road again and hopefully will not have any more breakdowns.

He is attempting to resolve some issue we have with the new unit, a member of sales and an issue with the install itself. we have been with this company for 16 years. Wife came home, she is pissed. AC is roaring with thumping sound. it is at top speed to change temp from 76 -75. Went to dinner, came back, there are red lights flashing in a round glass i didn't know was there, this morning a bright 16 showing. a Google search indicated 16 means low pressure.. My wife complained a puffing sound all night when cycled. It did maintain requested temp. I called the low pressure in. I asked the tech if he could change the filter for me. I had one ready but with Parkinson's it's sometimes hard to get and vack up, He stated he had never changed that filter. I ended up doing myself like after my last tune-up. The tech seemed to blow it off and left it undone. I did that one myself which is also complicated by the condition of a 16 year old drawer and broken pleat spacers. I also noted when i took the drawer outside to clean, the wire mess on the bottom is rusting.
Very professional showed up on time and worked hard til the job was done. Alex and Daniel are a 5 star team

For this job I came to install an outdoor dual fuel thermostat. Tested the system is corresponding modes and it ran like it should.
On arrival system running and heating as intended. Indoor unit was clean and passed all electrical testing. Uv system bulb burnt out. Biological growth beginning to form in supply plenums outside of range of current uv system. Outdoor unit passed all electrical testing. Will follow up Friday.

We will attempt to clear were with cable. If able to clear, we will camera line After clearing, video inspection shows low spot at cleanout by back fence and original clay tile line in alley drive way. Each joint has roots growing in. Option given for partial replacement
For this evaluation the customers nest thermostat was not sending a call for cooling, only heat. When I wire nutted the appropriate wires to call for cooling it kicked on indicating the nest had failed. The customer will need an outdoor dual fuel thermostat so the new Honeywell thermostat will work with the dual fuel system, under warranty. I went ahead and installed the new Honeywell thermostat so he has heat and cooling ability but will not have auxiliary heat via furnace until the outdoor thermostat comes in.

Today I showed up for a membership super tune-up on a 6-year-old heat pump system checked everything indoor and outdoor and heat mode and in cool mode changed the filter which was severely restricted flushed the drain line with white vinegar checked the temperature split and amp draw washed the outdoor coils and checked all high and low voltage connections replaced the Dual run capacitor under membership warranty as it was far out of range reading 32 when it should be reading 40 found organic growth in the indoor unit made recommendations for a UV system a duct cleaning a soft start kit for the outdoor unit and leak detection as the unit is currently low on refrigerant reading about a two subcool when I should see about a six the only recommendation the homeowner has taken today is the membership conversion to the new home and budget protection plan this is not an increase in price from their current copper membership however it is an increase in coverage thank you for choosing comfort
For this super tune-up I inspected the customers air handler and condenser, all equipment was measuring with the manufacturer's specs and running well. The customer's home is 2 years old, with a 2 year old Carrier system. At the indoor unit the customer has water safety however only on the secondary drain pan so I recommend installing a float switch on the primary drain line to prevent water from even getting into the pan from clogs in the primary drain line. The customer's mentioned allergies in the home so I recommend a duct cleaning upon completion of construction in the area as well as installing a whole home UV sanitation system and the supply plenum to kill and prevent any biological growth and other airborne bacteria/illnesses from getting to the customer's. The homeowners will need a compressor saver kit installed on the condenser as the compressor is already over amping on startup and with a compressor saver kit it will lower the amp draw during startup by up to 1/3. For this super tune-up I inspected the customer's air handler and condenser. All equipment was measuring at the manufacturer's specs and running well. I would highly recommend to the customers getting a duct cleaning since the wife stated they lived in the home for 20 years and I've never received one. I would also recommend a UV sanitation system that mounts inside the supply plenum and kills any biological growth, viruses and other biologics that would come into contact with that light and circulating in the home.
2010 4t hp attic. System down upon arrival, down for 10 days. Compressor short due to 0 refrigerant. Breakers tripping. Leaks in rusted evaporator coil. I educated homeowner on all things hvac. I showed him the state of the evaporator coil which he hadn't seen before. We discussed adding insulation over the ducting that is ideally laying low on the floor of attic. Homeowner shared with me two system replacement quotes and I took pictures of them satisfying free second opinion. Homeowner has been made aware of our WP&L, duct cleaning and insulation package upon new system purchase. This homeowner is a lead from my sister in-law. There is another home on his location that he rents out and is 2001 r22 that will eventually need to be replaced. I just looked at the condenser data tag with homeowner. Cash buyer.

I had 20° of Delta from return to supply in both heating and cooling. I would recommend to the customer adding whole home search protection to prevent damage to key electrical components within the home for power surges or lightning strikes as well as adding a hard start kit as his compressor is overamping on startup and adding a hard start kit will definitely lower that amp draw and prevent future damage.

On this job i inspected the furnace. All compnets test within tolerance. Td is over 30 in heating. I replaced his airfilter. I'm also coming back to install easy start tomorrow first call.
On this job the system suction line temp is not 100° above ambient when it really should be. It's 36 outside line temp is 117. System also wants to defrost when there's no ice build up on it and outside temp is not cold enough also system only ran for less then 10 min. She wants to run with it for since the system does provide some heat. She also wants to talk about system replacement Feb 4th at 1pm.
