Homeowner needs a quality electrician to come look at a job. 2008 system has an over amping compressor, low refrigerant and leaks detected in evaporator coil. Asked for an estimate of what it would typically cost to replace the evaporator coil. Homeowner has been made aware of the significant refrigerant changes coming January 1 2025 and is interested in replacing the system very soon. His unit is however under a LP&LW but I've expressed that it only applies if the parts are available. I'll be looking into the availability of the 17yo evaporator coil and will contact the homeowner on 11/12/24 with the information. Unless Brian H is able to on the electrical appointment. Technician started at air handler tech looked inside supply Plenum return Plenum looked at the blower evaporator coil, as well as all of his readings. Once tech was done. Tech handed to the condenser where tech found condenser was going into high pressure lockout due to outside temperatures being too hot technician put it in cooling mode and check charge charge was fine. Technician talk to homeowner. System was pretty clean and looked very well-maintained for it being less than a year old. Homeowner did not know that we did plumbing and electrical technician told him to call office to schedule up appointments and they are well aware of it now.

Found downstairs condenser fan blade vibration causing bad racket on top of condenser unit used a piece of arms flex to act as a vibration pad to stop the noise checked charge, capacitor and compressor amp draw all are good let customers son know that if the noise comes back to please take a video so we have something to go off of

INDOOR: I replaced the filter, the coil was clean, the blower wheel was clean and the blower motor was in good condition. The UV light was functioning properly. The heat strips were functioning within range. The drain pan was clean and the drain line was clear. System had a temperature split of 19 degrees at the vents. OUTDOOR: surge protection is installed as well as a compressor saver. The compressor and fan motor were operating within manufacturer range, the auxiliary motor starter was within tolerance and the primary electrical control was in good condition. The refrigerant charge was within acceptable levels at this time. I shared my findings with the homeowner and explained how to use the thermostat to prevent the heat strips from turning on in heat mode. System was operating normally when I left.

Two system super tune up performed today. Both systems are Goodman straight cool condensers with gas furnaces installed in 2019. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Gas pressure, inducer motor, burners and igniters are all working as they should. Heat exchangers are acceptable. Both compressors and condenser fan motors are within spec. Refrigerant levels are in range. Adding a compressor saver to each unit is highly suggested to help with the efficiency and longevity of the systems. Systems do not have drain protection. Adding drain protection can help ensure that there is no water damage caused by a blockage in the primary condensate drain.
