Unbelievably thorough, well documented review of both my 8 year old system and my 17 year old system picking up a freon leak and heat exchanger degradation in my 17 year old system. Also informing me of the Jan 2025 EPA requirement of new type of Freon 454 which is flammable resulting in more expensive future systems and elimination of current 410a (non-flammable) system availability. Given parts availability on my 17 year old system is poor, it would be the best time to install the last of the 410a systems before they are gone.

We had a broken a/c pipe which rendered one of our bathrooms unusable. Alec was sent to fix the problem within hours. He located the problem, fixed it and showed us before and after photos of the repairs done. He was very professional and courteous throughout his visit. Thanks Alec for a job well done.

Our propane furnace would not start up on one of the colder days this winter. Justin P. found that condensation had built up and prevented the lighting of the unit. Not only did he fix the immediate issue, he climbed deep into my attic to find the p-trap that was preventing condensate from draining. From now on, I want Justin to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on my two heat and a/c units -- because I know he will take the time to ensure that this equipment remains failure free. Outstanding and thorough --Justin P, Comfort Experts, has my trust. Nov 2024. Kellen performed preventative maintenance on my two dual fuel systems. I was beyond impressed with this company, from the initial phone call for service, to the dispatcher who advised me that the technician, Mark D. was on his way, to Mark D.'s amazing customer service. Mark's knowledge and willingness to explain everything, with patience and a smile on his face, in spite of the after hours service was impressive. He was very thorough, and accommodating. I haven't seen this type of customer service in years, and I'l recommend this company to everyone. It's no wonder I was referred to them by another happy customer. Mark was very honest in his assessment of my HVAC unit, and this is the only company I'll ever trust. Thank you for servicing my home on the same day as my call.

Our AC went out the night the Texas Rangers swept the Baltimore Orioles to go back to the ALCS. Go Rangers! Anyway, Mark Dennison got to us by 1 pm the next day, could not have been more polite or thorough in his detailed explanation of the steps of the diagnostics, the services he recommended, and the follow-up we should budget for having an 8-year-old system. We like Hobson / Comfort Experts because of their attentiveness and their support of our military, but well request Mark for our next round. But all of their techs have been great, so you cannot go wrong with any weve had come to our home over the last several years.

Recent Work
Install 60k hz heat pump with high efficiency filtration, code kit, relocate thermostat to best location, redesign and replace duct system
Gave estimates for new softener and filtration
Low voltage on second stage gas was not hooked up properly. Fixed by adding w2 to indoor circuit board and tstat. Gas valve was no set properly to reflect its second stage heating. Fixed by increasing the flow of LP to the appropriate level. Cleaned off flame sensor. Removed unnecessary 1 inch filter that added restriction to indoor unit. Homeowner has an Aprilaire 913 arriving soon. System fully operational. (Accidentally removed an item when bringing the estimate into the invoce). Level 2 repair reflects work done.

2012 5t attic horizontal hp. Expired manufacturers warranty. Leaks detected in evaporator coil. Filter getting dirty way too fast. Heavy biological growth present. Duct design poor. Compressor and fan motor capacitors outside manufacturers tolerance. Defrost control board malfunctioning. Dead critters possible shorted out. Compressor inrush amperage exceeds manufacturers specifications. Due to systems age and performance, I explained to Homeowner in detail with photos/videos and bringing them to the issue what was happening. Homeowner agreed to visit with a CA 2/19/25 @7p to discuss replacement.
I found nothing wrong in terms of the electrical and I believe the tv to have been where the failure happened
Technician sold additional tune up for the upstairs system. 2 system heating tune up performed today. Amana heat pump with air handler installed in 2023. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. ECM blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. So he changed his mind and he doesn't want the gfci's separated out but he does want one of them replaced as his fridge keeps tripping note that the location of the fridge was not originally in that spot and is why it is GFCI protected so I will be returning on Thursday to install a customer supply GFCI
Install frost proof hose bibb tested for leaks no leaks detected job complete

Rec work and ELECTRICAL TO PLUMBING Both set for Tuesday the 18th He has a leaky outside faucet that he would like looked at And I will be installing 3 separate boxes for new plugs and separating out some of the gfcis as to not build as much heat
2014 4t hp attic horizontal. Expired manufacturers warranty. Filter replaced- last one was extremely heavy. Evaporator coil - visual heavy rust and oil spots, performed a courtesy leak detection and detected r410a refrigerant molecules. Biological growth found inside indoor unit. Blower has slight build up. Electric heatstrips come on when calling for heat, only suppose to in second stage heating to give the hp help. Minimal insulation. No saftey float switch on condensate line. Disconnect prongs show signs of energy distress. Inrush amperage on compressor exceeds manufacturers specifications indicating damage. Condenser fan motor has a heavy squeak and is over amping. I sat with homeowner on multiple occasions to discuss system saftey and performance. Due to the age and conditions, homeowner agreed to discuss replacement with a CA. A system restoration estimate has been made, but is contingent on parts availability. 2/19/25 afternoon electrical inspection. Outlet in kitchen bl
Systems fully functional. Discussed IAQ options, compressor performance upgrades and condensate drain line protection. Homeowner has an unfinished room upstairs, wanting to store guns and needs a redesign of the ducting, possibly a supply branch from upstairs unit and humidity control. Heat load calculation is a must. Feel free to contact me as this is in my neighborhood and I've had Brian H look at the job. Set for Saturday 2/15/25 10am. For unfinished room upstairs, homeowner wants to store guns in area. Ducting needs redesign. Possible one branch from upstairs unit and redesign 3 downstairs ducts. Humidity control is a must.
Recworks completed heat kit has been swapped out along with relays, cut out section of duct board plenum and installed new and sealed holes from critter damage. While underneath I have figured out that the new duct that had been installed was tapped off of the existing ductwork directly underneath system, this is the reason the back side of the house is not getting any air, plugging hole from duct and extending and tapping off from a separate spot will allow air to distribute distribute better. Airflow is better and system is operating properly at this time. Need to fix duct for better efficiency. Cst agrees
Quoted a level 3 30k heat pump and a level 3 42k heat pump for $30,000
Technician went to condenser and found it was out on a high-pressure lockout. Technician started it and ran it for a good 30 minutes. System is cooling at this current moment. Technician did find that unit did not have a compressor saver or a surge protection technician washed and waxed unit unit is working perfectly fine at this time. Technician went to secondary unit where he found. There was no compressor saver as well. Technician recommends that as well as surge protection. Everything on that unit is working at this time. Technician went to unit three where he found no compressor saver and recommends it technician also found everything to be working on this unit as well. Unit four does not have surge protector or compressor saver as well. Everything is working on it at this time technician headed to system five where he found everything was walking. The system does not have a compressor saver as well.
During PTU I have found that there is low pressure through the hot water line on the showers especially, pulled off on the shower heads and found tons of buildup. Customer explain to me that she keeps having water line problems so I decided to peek underneath the home and inspect the lines, after inspection it was clear to me that the best solution here was to replace the CPVC water lines that were throughout the entire house, along with angle stops and faucet supply lines toilet supply lines. Also going to replace from meter to home customer agreed to all estimates and paid half down today need to schedule accordingly next week
PTU completed built all estimates on electrical call both plumbing and electrical customer signed and agreed already
