For many people that need an AC and heating repair, it can come as a surprise. It may feel like one day you were comfortable in your home and going about your daily schedule, and the next you wake up sweating and wondering what went wrong. The next steps you take are going to be crucial because the HVAC company you go with will make a big difference in the longevity of your unit and the experience you have.
Here are a few things that you should expect from a Crowley, TX , air conditioning and heating repair company:
You would be surprised how many people will claim to be able to repair your HVAC unit, only to find that they don’t have the proper certifications to perform the job according to the laws. In the same vein, some companies won’t provide you with technicians who have experience with the many different units that are in the market today. You want to bring in a company that knows how to give you quality installations that provide energy-efficient solutions to save you money on your bills as well as future repairs.
It can be hard to fit an air conditioning service into your day. The best companies know that your time is precious. Finding a company that is prompt in their services and shows up on time will make sure that you don’t skip a beat – and the interior temperature of your home won’t either.
While you don’t always want to hear that there is something wrong with your AC and heating unit, you do want the person who is explaining it to you to be friendly and clear. Knowing what to expect will help take the stress off because you’ll know when the AC and heating repair will take place, as well as how long it will take to get you back up and running. Plus, you’ll be speaking with the company again and don’t want to dread communicating with them because they are difficult.
Jake was awesome. He went beyond fixing the problems we had. He did his own quick inspection to make sure there were no other electrical issues in the house.
We had an exceptional experience with Gabriel. He listened attentively, and showed genuine care for every detail we shared regarding our AC failure. He thoroughly inspected the unit and communicated his findings in a knowledgeable, professional manner, explaining the issue, and the recommended repair. He was able to resolve the problem and replace the necessary parts during the very first visit. We are very pleased with the service we received. We enrolled in the Hobson’s Comfort Experts membership and look forward to our annual inspections. Keep up the great work!
Same day service with one of the nicest professional technician Gabriel. The problem was fixed in a timely manner and he offered advice on how to keep the system clean and the air as pure as possible. Perfect personality for being in this profession.
Prompt and very helpful and respectful
Cristian with Comfort Experts was prompt, professional, and friendly. He diagnosed my AC issue and had a solution within minutes. He explained what happened and what needed to be done in terms even I could understand. He also told me about Comfort Experts’ service plan, which I’m now kicking myself for not signing up for. I will though, because that kind of peace of mind matters going into these hot summer months. I can’t recommend Comfort Experts enough!
Matt was professional, informative, and worked hard to get this done… and done right! While membership is not financially feasible for us now (we already have a locked in 2 year service contract with the folks that installed our HVAC), it is in our future.
From the very first call to the technician’s visit, Comfort Experts was outstanding! Autumn made an incredible first impression—friendly, helpful, and truly set the tone for the entire experience. When Daniel Andrade came out, he exceeded our expectations. He was friendly, professional, and, most importantly, honest—qualities that are hard to find these days. My wife and I were so impressed that we signed up for the membership because we don’t want to work with anyone else moving forward. Comfort Experts has absolutely earned our trust, business, and loyalty. Thank you! — Daniel

Price a little high

Needed a board replaced because of a leak in bathroom plumbing.Jerred did a great job of replacing it!
Had a leak in bathroom drain. Mike quickly found the problem and did a great job of fixing it
We were very dissatisfied with our recent service call- the technician reported that there were several issues with our unit, including an expansion valve, reversing valve, and coolant, totally over $3k in repairs. Even suggesting a new unit might be a better option since we were going to be 3 grand in on repairs. However, what he was reporting did not match the issue we were having with the water safety device. We contacted another company for a 2nd opinion, they had a technician here within hours of yours leaving and reported none of those issues, even stating all the test came back within normal ranges, pressures were spot on. Your company advertises to be honest with consumers and that your technician are not paid on commission, this is the exact opposite of our experience.
Michael did a great job except the issues with the system were above his pay grade so he called the big guy to look at it . Hopefully it won’t be anything major !!
Alex and Keynan were the best! They worked in the pouring down rain but they kept plugging along and got us up and running They were the best!
Garrett was a friendly guy and very knowledgable. He explained things in a way that I could understand. I would recommend him to others.
He did a great job and gave me a few things to think about. Thank you
Brock Stokes was the technician along with an employee in training. Both were very friendly, informative and proffesional. They were able to quickly locate the problem and make the fix. Will definitely go with the company again for future needs.
I love how professional and courteous this company is. They are very honest and will not steer you wrong.
Kellen showed up wearing book covers and was extremely polite. He didnt mind explaining things sometimes a couple of times until I understood what was going on with my HVAC. Sean was also very knowledgeable and I enjoyed them both. Will call them back in the future, if needed.
Electrical was thoroughly checked, with expert observations! AC unit quality was later thoroughly checked by technician 12. The unit was found to be operating very well. We completely agree with the assessment, and we appreciate having the quality inspection. We are pleased with the unit and the company!
Ryan was very professional!! Certainly recommend his technician service!
Thoroughly inspected and cleaned my compressors identifying defective capacitor as reason compressor has been making unusual noise when running that needed to be replaced. Showed me pictures of everything inspected and verified to be in good condition. Answered all my questions. Clean and friendly.
I've been using comfort experts for about 2 years now. Just recently had a electrical system check performed and I must say my technician, Tyler Lawyer was very thorough and quick! He performed checks and made sure my home was in good shape! You can't go wrong with comfort experts if your looking for quality service for your home hvac!
During the inspection, I meticulously examined the HVAC system, confirming that the coils were clean and the air filter was in good condition. I identified a slow drain issue and suggested clearing the drain lines. To maintain cleanliness, I recommended installing a germicidal unit inside the indoor system. Additionally, I advised adding a soft start kit to the outdoor unit for more efficient startups and to reduce compressor wear. All electrical components were tested and found to be functioning correctly. The system is currently running and cooling effectively. The homeowner needs to discuss the proposed options with their spouse before proceeding.
I visited to provide a detailed quote for necessary repairs identified by an inspector. I explained that certain issues, while flagged, were not mandatory due to the house's age and existing codes. However, I assured the customer that if these updates were desired, I fully understood and could complete them. I presented a comprehensive quote covering all potential repairs, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.
I visited the customer's home to assess their needs. They required insulation for their suction pipe and p-trap to improve efficiency and prevent freezing. Additionally, there was a noticeable dent on the condenser, which could affect its performance. I provided a detailed estimate for these services, including the materials and labor required. The customer appreciated the thoroughness of the assessment and requested some time to discuss the estimate with her husband before making a decision. I ensured she had all the necessary information to make an informed choice.

00 p.m. The system was operational but had a 5° Delta on the thermostat. After a detailed inspection, I discovered that the system was shutting off during peak heat due to a thick layer of dirt around the outdoor coil, causing the compressor to shut off on thermal overload. Additionally, the capacitor was out of tolerance. I replaced the capacitor and meticulously cleaned the condenser coils from the inside out. Post-cleaning, I tested the unit's operations and confirmed that the system was cooling effectively with a 20° Delta. The job was successfully completed, ensuring optimal system performance.
I was called to address an issue with a system that was not cooling. The unit in question is an R22 system with a convertible 410 evaporator coil, which is under warranty. Upon inspection, I found the refrigerant to be at a flat charge. I used H/O's R22 refrigerant to pressurize the system and conduct a leak check, but I was unable to locate the leak. I recommended the homeowner consult with a comfort advisor for a more efficient system. No repairs were made, and the homeowner mentioned they know someone who handles R22 equipment and will contact them.
Upon returning for a follow-up, I discovered the system was not cooling below 75°. Initially, the unit appeared fine during the tune-up due to high temperatures and a dirty outdoor coil, which masked the refrigerant issue. The system was slightly low on charge, with a delta T of 14°. I added the necessary refrigerant, ensuring it met specifications. After topping off, the delta T improved to 20°, and the system is now cooling effectively. The next scheduled tune-up will include a thorough check of the refrigerant levels and an assessment of the leak's size. Thank you for your cooperation.
I conducted a comprehensive inspection of the upstairs HVAC system, starting with the replacement of the air filter. I meticulously checked the drain lines for any blockages and ensured all electrical components were functioning correctly. The refrigerant levels and delta T were also evaluated to confirm optimal performance. The homeowner had approved an upgrade to their existing UV system, which had a faulty bulb. I installed the new iaq200 germicidal unit, ensuring the coils were clean. After installation, I tested the unit operations to verify everything was working as intended. The system is now operating efficiently, and no issues were detected. Thank you for the opportunity to service your HVAC system.
Upon arrival, I found the air conditioning system was completely shut off. After having the customer turn it back on, I checked the refrigerant pressures and confirmed they were within the manufacturer's specified tolerances. I then measured a 17° temperature split between the return and supply plenums, indicating proper system operation. However, while checking the compressor inrush amperage, I discovered it was significantly higher than normal. I explained to the customer that this high startup amperage could lead to compressor overheating and inefficient operation. To address this, I recommended replacing the capacitor and installing a compressor saver hard start kit. The customer approved the repairs and signed up for our maintenance membership. After completing the repairs, I verified proper system operation, and the air conditioning is now cooling effectively and efficiently.

Recently, I successfully completed a project involving the sale and installation of a high-efficiency heat pump. The system chosen was a level 4-60k heat pump, designed for upflow applications, which was sold for $24,844. The client opted for a full financing arrangement through Google Leap, facilitating a seamless transaction. The installation was meticulously planned and scheduled for Monday, July 13th. Throughout the process, I ensured that all technical specifications were met, and the installation was performed with precision to guarantee optimal performance and energy efficiency. This project highlights my commitment to delivering top-tier HVAC solutions and customer satisfaction.
Upon inspection, the compressor had an open leg, causing it to malfunction. After cooling it down with water, it briefly restarted but failed to operate properly. I replaced the hard start and cap, successfully restoring functionality. The system is currently in a fragile state, and I advised the client of this condition. They are interested in discussing a potential system replacement to prevent a complete shutdown. Additionally, the system has low freon levels, as indicated by a low SC 4.6 reading. A follow-up appointment is scheduled for tomorrow at 10 am.
A customer contacted us for an evaluation of their cooling system, which was not functioning. Upon arrival, I conducted a thorough electrical inspection and identified that the outdoor run capacitor had failed. I explained the repair options to the customer, who approved replacing the capacitor. Since I didn't have the correct capacitor on my service vehicle, I temporarily installed a properly rated capacitor to restore operation. I then went to the shop to obtain the manufacturer-recommended capacitor. After returning, I installed the correct capacitor and verified that the system was operating normally. The cooling system was fully functional, and the customer was satisfied with the service provided. Thank you for choosing our services.
Upon inspection, I identified a faulty capacitor at the condenser as the root cause of the system's malfunction. I replaced the capacitor unit, ensuring the system now operates efficiently. Additionally, I verified that the Freon levels were within the optimal range, confirming the system's proper functioning. The replacement part is under warranty, and no labor charges were applied. Payment was processed via credit card.
Upon inspection, I identified a leak in the customer's evaporator coil. To address this issue promptly, I added a small amount of refrigerant to ensure the system operates efficiently for their upcoming holiday party. This temporary solution will help them enjoy their event without interruption. The customer plans to monitor the system's performance and will contact us if further assistance is needed. My goal was to provide a quick, effective fix to maintain comfort and convenience for their celebration.
A customer contacted us for an evaluation due to inadequate cooling in the master bedroom, master bathroom, and one additional room. Upon inspection, I found a disconnected supply duct in the attic. I informed the customer about the issue and, after their approval, reconnected, sealed, and repaired the duct. During the inspection, I also noticed significant buildup in the condensate drain line. I explained the situation to the customer and recommended a condensate drain treatment solution, which they agreed to. After completing the duct repair and drain line treatment, I verified the system's operation. The HVAC system is now cooling properly, and the previously affected rooms are receiving adequate airflow.
Upon arrival, I conducted an evaluation as the homeowner was not present. Both indoor and outdoor units were operational. After discussing symptoms, I found the system was cooling within tolerances, though the homeowner reported it felt warm. The primary issue was a blocked primary drain line. Despite the homeowner declining repair and being aware of potential water damage, I informed them of pet-related damage to the unit and cleaned the outdoor unit. The system was cooling effectively when I departed.
Upon receiving the call, I began by thoroughly inspecting the outdoor unit's electronics, ensuring everything was operational. I then proceeded to the disconnect box, where I discovered a burnt and disconnected wire. This wire had melted the plastic and severed the connection to the breaker. I promptly informed the customer of this critical issue. They decided to replace the disconnect and have the wiring redone. Following the repairs, I verified that the system was functioning correctly and the cooling was restored. The customer expressed their gratitude for the service provided.
I conducted a thorough plumbing inspection for the customer, meticulously examining all visible plumbing systems and components. I identified areas that required attention and documented my findings in detail. Based on the inspection, I provided specific recommendations to address potential issues and improve the overall functionality and safety of the plumbing system. I ensured the customer understood the importance of each recommendation. The customer will review the estimate and contact us when ready to proceed with the necessary work.
Upon inspection, I identified a clog in the primary drain line, which was causing the unit to cycle on and off intermittently. I carefully accessed the drain and thoroughly cleared the obstruction. After ensuring the drain was free-flowing, I tested the unit to confirm proper operation. The freon levels were checked and found to be within the optimal range, and the temperature split was satisfactory. The system is now functioning smoothly, and payment was collected via credit card.
A customer requested a Super Tune-Up for their HVAC system. I began by cleaning the outdoor unit's condenser coils and checking refrigerant pressures to ensure they met manufacturer specifications. All electrical components were inspected and verified for proper operation. Moving indoors, I found rust in the drain pan and water discharging from the secondary drain line. Several duct connections were improperly sealed. After discussing these findings, I cleared the drain line, poured two gallons of water through the primary drain to confirm proper drainage, and verified the sink connection. I also verified a 20-degree temperature split, replaced the air filter, and inspected for biological growth, finding none. The system now operates efficiently and as designed.
Upon arrival, I found the system to be heavily soiled. After thorough cleaning and inspection, I identified high superheat and inadequate cooling. Further examination revealed water in the drain pan, a suspected evaporator coil leak, and low refrigerant levels. These issues are compromising performance and could lead to continuous operation without achieving desired indoor comfort, especially in high temperatures. I explained these concerns and their potential consequences to the homeowner, who chose not to proceed with repairs or refrigerant service. I emphasized the importance of addressing these issues to prevent further damage and stress on the system.
Upon arrival, I identified a water leak originating from the HVAC system. Upon inspection, the primary drain line was found to be clogged. After discussing the situation with the homeowner, it was decided to only clear the drain. Notably, the system lacks a safety float switch to prevent water damage. I successfully cleared the drain, followed by testing the unit operations. The system is now functioning properly.
