HVAC, Plumbing & Electrician Service FAQs

How much does it cost to replace an HVAC system in Weatherford?

The cost to replace an HVAC system varies based on factors like the size of the home, the type of system, and local labor rates. On average, a complete HVAC system replacement may range from $5,000 to $10,000 or more. High-efficiency systems and additional features can increase costs. It's advisable to obtain multiple quotes from reputable HVAC contractors, considering factors like energy efficiency and warranty, to make an informed decision based on your specific needs and budget.

Why won't my furnace or AC turn on in Weatherford?

Your furnace or air conditioner may not come on due to a broken thermostat, a tripped circuit breaker, a clogged air filter, or problems with the ignition system. Other possible causes include issues with the pilot light, bad wiring, or a damaged capacitor. Start by looking at the air filter, the circuit breaker, and the thermostat settings. In order to ensure that your heating or cooling system operates effectively, it is advised that you speak with an HVAC specialist if the problem continues. They can identify and solve the exact issue.

What are the causes when a furnace doesn't provide enough heat near Weatherford?

Insufficient heat from a furnace may result from a clogged air filter restricting airflow, a malfunctioning thermostat, or issues with the ignition system. Additionally, problems with the pilot light, a faulty thermocouple, or a malfunctioning blower motor could be causes. Inadequate insulation, leaky ducts, or issues with the gas supply may also contribute. Regular maintenance, such as changing filters and inspecting components, can help prevent these issues. If problems persist, consulting with an HVAC professional is advisable for a thorough diagnosis and effective resolution.

Addressing Common Plumbing Issues

Many households face common plumbing problems, such as leaks, clogs, and inefficient fixtures. These issues not only lead to inconvenience but also contribute to water waste and increased utility bills.

Environmental Impact

Efficient plumbing systems are the cornerstone of a well-functioning home. Beyond the convenience of a smoothly running household, optimal plumbing efficiency also translates to significant savings on water bills and a reduced environmental footprint. We understand the importance of efficient plumbing and are committed to helping you achieve it.

Inefficient plumbing can have a significant impact on the environment. Water leaks and wastage contribute to unnecessary strain on local water resources and increase your carbon footprint.

High-Efficiency Toilets and Faucets

Upgrading to enery-efficient toilets and faucets is a simple yet impactful way to conserve water. These fixtures are designed to use significantly less water without compromising on performance, helping you save both water and money in the long run.

Upgrade to eco-friendly fixtures, such as low-flow showerheads and aerators, to reduce water consumption without sacrificing performance. These small changes can make a big difference in both your water bill and environmental impact.

Schedule routine drain cleaning to remove buildup and prevent blockages. This can be done using environmentally friendly solutions or by hiring professional plumbers for thorough cleaning services.

The Significance of a Modern Electrical System

By upgrading your electrical system, you not only improve efficiency but also mitigate safety risks and bolster property value.

Regular Inspections

Schedule annual electrical inspections by licensed professionals to identify potential hazards, faulty wiring, and outdated components. Prompt repairs and upgrades ensure a safe and reliable electrical system.

Shield your home electronics from power surges with dedicated surge protection devices. These safeguards prevent damage from lightning strikes, utility grid fluctuations, and appliance malfunctions.

Whole Home Generator Installation

We understand the importance of reliable backup power, especially during unexpected outages. Whether it's due to severe weather, utility failures, or other emergencies, a properly installed generator ensures that your home remains powered, safeguarding your family and valuable electronic devices.

Standby generators are permanently installed outside your home and connected to your electrical system. They are equipped with an automatic transfer switch that detects power outages and immediately activates the generator.

Goodman heat pump with downflow air handler. Customer states that the coil keeps freezing up. Evaporator coil is very dirty and compacted which is preventing proper air flow. Blower wheel is very dirty. Blower capacitor is weak and needs to be changed. Compressor and condenser fan motor are amping properly. Dual run capacitor is weak and needs to be changed. Technician was not able to get accurate refrigerant readings due to poor air flow caused by the dirty evaporator coil. Customer refused repairs at this time.

P upon arrival compressor would not operate when I tried to turn the system on lights flickered like crazy. While inspecting the outdoor units I found that the electrical whip had no ground tied into the condenser. Installed new electrical width to and from with new ground. Attempted to start up compressor still no activation found a capacitor that had failed, swapped 70x7.5 MFD capacitor. System operated just fine after installing ground and capacitor recommended a compressor saver due to the really high amp draws from compressor. Compressor could potentially fail explain this to customer and they understood. Installed compressor saver While inspecting the air handler I found that the return plenum has collapsed on itself due to not being strapped properly. Air filter will not go in the system all the way until plenum is fixed. Need to perform mastic and seal on air handler and plenum along with strapping up correctly. Drain line is clogged has lots of buildup and evaporator drain pan

Super tune up performed today on a Goodman gas furnace with a straight cool condenser installed in 2010. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Ecm blower motor is acceptable. System is clean. Inducer motor, gas pressure, igniter and heat exchanger are all acceptable. Compressor is amping a bit high upon start up but all running amp draws are in range. System is a bit low on refrigerant. Supply plenum fell and left air gaps in the attic. This technician lifted the plenum up and put a support strap underneath it, then taped up all the gaps. Delta T improved by about 4.5 degrees after doing that. Highly suggest adding a compressor saver to help with the efficiency and the reliability of the unit.

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home and met Mrs.Messinger. she guided me inside to the thermostat and indoor unit, the system was running but not cooling. When I hooked up my guages to test for refrigerant pressures, I found that the pressures were almost equivalent. I tested the TXV for constriction as well as the filter drier and found both to be operating normally. I then tested the electrical control outside which was operating normally. I then took an amp draw of the compressor and noticed it was running at only 1.06 amps, far below normal operation. I tested the windings of the compressor and found them to be in good condition so this left me with the conclusion that the compressor had mechanically failed and was not pumping the refrigerant properly. When talking to the home owner I presented my findings and she decided it would be best to set up a meeting with a comfort advisor for replacing the current system.

Tech Cody arrived to Customer's home and met Mrs. Ristau. She guided me inside to the thermostat and attic access, I started the tune up at the indoor unit. I found the coil to be clean with no signs of corrosion, the blower wheel was clean along with the entire cabinet. Outside I started with washing the coil before taking any readings. The electrical readings showed the equipment to be operating normally according to manufacturer data tag. There was no compressor saver installed and I explained the importance of this component to the homeowner. She did not want to purchase a membership or compressor saver with us without first talking to he husband.
