Came to our rescue
Thanks Justin for coming out so quickly, diagnosing our problem and having the part available on your truck to effect repair, all while we were still away from home. My neighbor deserves a lot of thanks too.

What more can you say than the way Justin represented his company. Felt assured in the way he conducted himself and how he presented the information about my HVAC system. All 10's!

Outstanding service
I was truly lucky today because I had 2 outstanding service technicians, and Justin was one. He did a thorough inspection of the attic before turning his attention to the reason why he was called. In doing this he found other issues that other professional technicians overlooked. While initially costly to do all the repairs, he will end up saving me tons in electric bills alone.

Outstanding service
Matt went far beyond what was asked. Because he believed the attic fans weren't the real issue, he found a more urgent issue, and arranged for another technician to do that repair.

Excellent Service!
We had an outstanding experience with Comfort Experts, especially Mark Watkins, who installed the mini split system in my Crafty Cabin! From start to finish, Mark was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and truly an asset to the company. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure the installation was done right. The pricing was very fair, the workmanship was excellent, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. You can tell Mark genuinely takes pride in his work and cares about his customers. My Crafty Cabin is now perfectly comfortable, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re looking for honest, dependable service and top-notch installation, I highly recommend Comfort Experts and Mark Watkins. Five stars all the way!

Matt went straight to work on a shorted/burnt multi-plex receptacle. He suggested just add another duplex plug and not use the 2 to 6 outlet adapter to avoid possible fires in future. The job was completed swiftly .Now I can rest assured that electrical shorts will not return.

Upon arrival, the customer reported the system was not functioning properly, with the indoor unit running but the outdoor unit not activating. I diagnosed the outdoor control board, which indicated a "normal operation, no call to compressor" code. Further checks revealed zero voltage at the heat pump and the "Y" terminal at the air handler, even when the thermostat was calling for cooling. After replacing the thermostat, the system started functioning correctly and was left running in cooling mode.

Upon arrival, the customer reported issues with the system running past the set point and cooling below it, while also not efficiently cooling the house. The customer believed the Nest thermostat was running as it should but was changing temperatures on its own. Reviewing the thermostat history, I found that on days the system ran for extended periods, it was in eco mode. Conversely, on days without eco mode, the system did not run for long periods. The thermostat showed only one day without eco mode, running for nine and a half hours. Additionally, the system is a 2.5-ton unit with a 20×20 filter grill, which is only suitable for a 1.3-ton system, indicating a need for more return air. I discussed adding an additional return or replacing the system, which will be 10 years old in December. The customer requested a compromise, so I arranged for a Comfort Advisor to visit on June 30th. I changed the thermostat to a Honeywell model and left the system in cool mode.

During the evaluation, the customer reported that the system was not cooling. I conducted a thorough performance leak search on the evaporator coil and identified a leak. I explained the issue to the customer, emphasizing the need for repairs. Since the customer's grandfather owns the house, they will need to contact him for approval. I have prepared an email with an estimate, along with pictures and videos to help explain the situation. The customer will reach out once they are ready to proceed with the repair.

Upon arrival, the system was not cooling. An inspection revealed a blockage in the primary drain line, which was causing the drain switch to trip. I carefully cleared the blockage to restore proper drainage. To prevent future issues, I installed a condensate drain pan treatment. After ensuring everything was functioning correctly, I confirmed that the system was running smoothly and providing the expected cooling. The job was completed successfully, leaving the system in optimal working condition.

Upon arrival, I met with a neighbor who explained the situation as the customer was abroad. After conducting a hearing evaluation, I discovered that the condenser fan motor bearings were seized. I contacted the customer via phone on a recorded line, obtained approval for the estimate and payment, and proceeded to install a new condenser fan motor. The system was left operational and cooling effectively.

Upon arrival, I identified that the compressor capacitor had failed, measuring 45 microfarads. I replaced it with a premium capacitor, complete with a warranty. After installation, I conducted a thorough function check. The system was found to be slightly low on refrigerant charge. Despite this, the system was running and effectively cooling. I left the site confident in the system's performance.

I performed a comprehensive tune-up on the Trane air handler and heat pump. I checked all electrical connections to ensure they were secure and free from damage. The customer-provided filter was replaced, and I confirmed the presence of a drain safety float switch in the emergency pan. I recommended adding an inline drain switch to the primary system. The UV system was operational, but the lamp needed replacement due to biological growth on the blower wires and evaporator coil. The refrigerant levels and door run cap were within acceptable ranges. The condenser coil was cleaned, and I suggested upgrading the UV system and adding a microair soft start kit. The customer declined the recommendations and left with the system in cool mode.

A recent project involved facilitating a paid membership for a client seeking improved attic ventilation. I coordinated with our team to ensure the client's needs were met, including the installation of attic fans. This involved assessing the client's requirements, preparing necessary documentation, and scheduling the visit from our certified AC technician. The goal was to enhance the home's cooling efficiency and comfort through effective attic ventilation.

Upon arrival, the customer reported that one bedroom did not cool properly and felt humid. During evaluation, I found the TXV bulb was outside the system and lacked insulation. I added insulation to the TXV bulb, which improved refrigerant levels. Additionally, I noticed the visiting family's room door had no gap between the floor and carpet. I recommended leaving the door open to ensure proper airflow. The system was left in cool mode.

Upon arrival, Matt the electrician was in the attic assessing attic fans. I identified a significant air leak. The TXV was not opening adequately, causing insufficient refrigerant flow to the evaporator coil, resulting in partial freezing. Additionally, the return air was insufficient. After discussing options, the customer opted to fix the supply air leak. The system was left in a cooling state pending further work.

Today, I performed a thorough turn-up on a ten-year-old Coleman heat pump with a downflow air handler. The refrigerant levels were checked and found to be within the optimal range. I verified that all amp draws were within the manufacturer's specifications, ensuring the system operates efficiently. The blower wheel and evaporator coil were meticulously cleaned to enhance airflow and heat exchange efficiency. The outdoor unit was cleaned and treated with a protective wax coating to prevent corrosion and improve performance. After completing these tasks, the system was tested and confirmed to be running smoothly and effectively cooling the space. To further enhance efficiency and reliability, I recommend adding a compressor saver to assist with the compressor's startup process.

Upon inspection, I identified a blockage in the primary drain, which was causing water to accumulate and subsequently drip from the secondary drain. I carefully cleared the blockage to restore proper drainage. To prevent future issues, I added a drain pan treatment. Following the clearance, I conducted a comprehensive function check of the system to ensure everything was operating correctly. I also verified that the refrigerant levels were within the optimal range. The system is now running efficiently and effectively cooling the area. I left the site confident in the restored functionality and performance of the system.

Today, I performed a comprehensive cooling tune-up on a three-year-old Amana gas furnace paired with a straight cool condenser. All electrical components were checked, and amp draws were found to be within specifications. Refrigerant levels were also verified to be in the correct range. The customer reported that the front room was significantly hotter than the rest of the house, with an 8-degree temperature difference noted between the front room and a vent closer to the unit. I will review the load calculations for the home to address this issue. The outdoor unit was thoroughly cleaned, including washing and waxing. The system is now running efficiently, effectively cooling the entire residence.

I successfully completed a comprehensive ductwork installation project. This involved installing 25 feet of 12-inch diameter ductwork to ensure efficient airflow and optimal ventilation. Additionally, I installed 12 feet of 7-inch diameter ductwork to cater to specific needs. The project also included the installation of an in-floor supply register, which was carefully positioned to provide balanced air distribution throughout the area. The ducts were meticulously measured, cut, and connected, ensuring a seamless and professional finish. The in-floor supply register was installed with precision, enhancing the overall comfort and efficiency of the system.

Upon arrival, the customer identified specific areas that were not cooling effectively. During the evaluation, I discovered that the ductwork was suspended in the attic, which significantly reduces efficiency due to exposure to hot air. Optimal ductwork performance is achieved when it is run within or beneath the attic insulation. Additionally, one bedroom had the longest duct run, with the ductwork splitting three times before reaching the bedroom, leading to inefficient airflow. I explained to the customer the ideal configuration for ductwork and recommended a visit from a Comfort Advisor to discuss potential upgrades. The customer agreed, and I arranged for the Comfort Advisor to visit and set up the necessary improvements.

Upon arrival, I identified a tub stoppage issue. I began by running a cable through the tub trap to clear any blockages. During this process, I removed a significant amount of hair that had accumulated, which was likely causing the drainage problem. After ensuring the trap was clear, I tested the tub to confirm that it was draining properly. Additionally, the customer expressed interest in discussing the hybrid water heater, so I provided a detailed explanation of its diagnostics and potential repairs. I also took the opportunity to inform the customer about the benefits of our CCC membership, although she mentioned she would need to discuss it further with her husband.

Upon arrival, I assessed the issue with the fill valve in the toilet tank. It was determined that the recall fill valve had become slightly loose, causing water to continuously run into the tank. I carefully tightened the fill valve to ensure it was secure and functioning correctly. This adjustment prevented any further water leakage and restored the proper operation of the toilet. The fill valve was tested multiple times to confirm that it was operating as intended. The job was completed efficiently, ensuring the customer's satisfaction with the service provided.

I successfully replaced all eight shut-off valves throughout the property, ensuring they were securely installed and functioning correctly. Additionally, I installed a new kitchen faucet as per the customer's specifications, using their supplied faucet. All remaining supply lines in the home were replaced to maintain optimal water flow and prevent future leaks. After completing the work, I conducted a thorough inspection, allowing the plumbing system a few minutes to stabilize before rechecking everything. No leaks were detected, and all water systems were confirmed to be operational.

I recently completed the installation of a 24k upflow heat pump, ensuring optimal performance for efficient heating and cooling. The system was equipped with high efficiency filtration to enhance indoor air quality and reduce allergens. Additionally, I integrated a UV system to eliminate bacteria and viruses, promoting a healthier living environment. The installation also included a code kit, which ensured compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Throughout the process, I paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every component was installed correctly and the system operated seamlessly. The end result was a reliable and efficient heating and cooling solution tailored to the client's needs.

Upon arrival, the customer reported that the system struggled to maintain the set temperature and frequently froze. A hearing evaluation revealed extremely low refrigerant levels and partially frozen oil. I conducted a leak search on the evaporator coil, detecting a small leak that was inconsistent due to ice buildup. I discussed the system's age, industry changes, and the benefits of setting up a comforter visor with the customer. I scheduled and confirmed the comforter visor setup for the same day. I left the system running to ensure it was operational.
