Electricians in Wylie, TX – Your Local Electrical Heroes

Electrical stuff scares me more than it should. And I’ve been doing this for fifteen years.

Been working as an electrician in Wylie for a long time. Fixed panels that looked like they belonged in a museum. Outlets that were held together with electrical tape and prayers. Whole houses where people just accepted that half their lights didn’t work right.

Here’s what keeps me up at night – families ignoring dangerous signs because they don’t want to spend money. That outlet shocking you every time? Not normal. Those lights flickering when you use the microwave? Also not normal.

We’re Comfort Experts. When your electrical system starts acting scary, we’re the ones who show up and fix it before someone gets hurt.

Jeremy came by to check out our AC and we ended up needing a whole new unit. He took the time to walk us through all the options and got us such a good deal that we couldn’t say no. He was awesome to work with and made the whole process super easy. If you need a new AC, Jeremy is the one to call!
Mark D and Tyler B were very professional and knowledgeable. My electric bill had jumped and I knew something had been going on with the outside unit sounding bad. Mark explained what happened and got me fixed right away.
Thanks for the great service!
Michael and Alonso came out to assess our AC which had stopped cooling in the upstairs for about a week and turns out the "return duct" had some damage of the metal ring that goes around to I guess keep it secure and hold its cylinder shape. It's impossible to know when or how it got damaged whether by the installers or the duct cleaners we had in earlier this year. Although they weren't able to fix the issue, they were able to identify the problem and get me scheduled for their Expert to come out the next day to fully assess. They were professional, seemed knowledgeable and quick to complete the assessment and get me on the schedule.
I've owned my house for about five years now, and have trusted Comfort Experts to do much of the repair and maintenance work on it, with outstanding results.

But nothing compared to the scope of my most recent project, a partial re-plumbing of all the fast-deteriorating (and close to breaking) galvanized pipe running throughout my 1920s house – most of which was creatively installed in bizarre ways, many years ago.

So of course, Comfort Experts was my first call.

And I'm incredibly glad it was, because as challenge after challenge was uncovered, the Comfort Expert team worked through and overcame each of them – from an oddly-placed waterline, to the excavation and installation of a new water main through a yard filled with rock and tree roots (shout-out to C&R Excavation!), to reaching barely-accessible areas of the crawl space under the house to replace difficult-to-reach pipes. Etc.

It was a true team effort, and the Comfort Experts technicians handled everything in stride with determination, patience and professionalism.

Tyler B. – only two weeks into his role at the time – was already insulating pipes, navigating the crawl space, and digging holes like he'd been on the job for months.

Zach answered the call when he was needed; squeezing into ridiculously small spaces to access areas otherwise impossible to reach.

Daniel was with me every step of the way, and I was less anxious about the entire project knowing that it was in his very capable hands. He confidently navigated each unforeseen issue – and there were many – while patiently answering my questions and constantly troubleshooting issues with the team.

And then there was Mark W., who was everywhere and seemingly capable of doing everything. He was in the attic running a new drain line for my HVAC. He was under the house installing new pipe. He was hopping into holes with a jackhammer to assist the excavation team. He had a tool for everything, and an answer to every question, and his high standards for excellence – for his own work and that of his team – also gave me great peace of mind.

What started out as a seemingly simple project ended up taking a full 3.5 days – but I am so grateful that Comfort Experts got it done, and was able to do it right. My 100-year old house will stay standing a little while longer thanks to them!
Zak came the same day and was very professional and informative about the issues we had with our AC unit. Even though we fixed our problem without needing to use the services recommended...I still do recommend Comfort Experts(Zak L) for coming out and being patient. In the future I will contact Comfort Experts if needed Thank you
Adam did a great job replacing our aging water heater. He was quick and efficient and answered all our questions thoroughly. He gave us a tutorial when he was finished and made sure we understood all the components. Now we have greater peace of mind!
Adam did such a great job installing our new water heater today. He was very quick, very efficient, and he took great care to show us all about each component. He answered all our questions and gave us a great tutorial when he was finished. Zach also was a great helper, because that old water heater was HEAVY!! Adam is another reason we stay with Hobson Comfort Experts. Highly recommend!!
Cooper not only repaired the major issue, he made sure to address anything he could during initial inspection. Gramps (100yrs this year) really needed that snake treatment for his toilet, and I am so happy to have a free-flowing home again!!
Alex and Kealan did an amazing job on my mini split install. Thank y'all so much for your attention to detail and excellent workmanship. If you are getting anything installed by Comfort Experts, know that you will be taken care of.
Professional, knowledgeable, and arrived within timeframe given. I appreciated using their friendly service from the first phone call to receiving this survey. I was able to clearly understand all the steps needed to getting my AC to perform at its best. Yes, I would recommend and use them again.

When to Call an Electrician in Wylie

Most people wait until something dramatic happens. Don’t be most people.

  1. Same breaker keeps tripping: Flipping that kitchen breaker every few days? Something’s pulling way too much power or there’s a short waiting to start a fire.
  2. Lights flicker like a horror movie: That’s not atmospheric lighting. That’s your circuits telling you they can’t handle the load.
  3. Outlets make noise: Electricity should be totally silent. Buzzing, crackling, humming – that’s stuff arcing inside your walls.
  4. Outlets feel hot to the touch: Turn off the breaker right now and call us. Hot outlets are literally how house fires start.
  5. Everything shocks you: Getting zapped by light switches isn’t quirky. You’ve got serious wiring problems.
  6. Some outlets just don’t work: Could be a tripped GFCI, could be loose wiring, could be something worse hiding behind your walls.
  7. Smell something burning but can’t find it: That’s probably melted wire insulation. This is call-us-immediately territory.
  8. Your panel looks ancient: If your electrical panel is older than your teenager, it probably can’t handle modern life safely.
  9. Want to install something big: New hot tub? Electric car charger? Your current wiring might not be able to handle it without causing problems.
  10. No GFCI outlets near water: Bathrooms, kitchens, outside areas – anywhere there’s water, you need outlets that’ll shut off instead of electrocute you.

Why People Trust Us with Their Family's Safety

We show up on time. We explain things without using a bunch of electrical engineering terms you don’t care about.

Don’t try to sell you expensive upgrades you don’t need. We look at the actual problem, tell you what’s dangerous, fix it properly.

My dad always said “Treat people’s homes like they’re your own.” We wear shoe covers, use drop cloths, clean up our mess.

That’s really all it takes to earn trust – do good work and don’t act like a jerk about it.

The Light That Almost Started a Fire

This family called us about their living room light flickering. They’d already changed bulbs twice, even bought a whole new fixture. Still flickered.

Figured it was just a cheap fixture being weird.

When we opened up the switch box, found a loose wire that was getting hot every single time they turned on the lights. Wire was actually starting to melt its own insulation.

Give it another month and that loose connection would’ve started a fire inside their wall.

Fixed the wiring, put in a new switch, tested everything three times. They said they’d gotten so used to the flickering they barely noticed it anymore.

That’s exactly why we tell people – if something feels wrong, it probably is wrong.

Here's How We Do Business

  • We show up when we say we will
  • Our guys are clean, polite, and respectful
  • Our trucks are loaded with parts to finish jobs
  • You know the price before we start – no surprises
  • We give you straight answers, not sales pitches

You don’t want some guy scratching his head at your electrical panel for two hours. We come prepared to solve your problem.

Wylie Electrician FAQs

Yeah, that’s bad. Means your electrical system can’t handle the load. We can add circuits or upgrade your panel.

Absolutely. We’ll run proper wiring and install outlets wherever makes sense.

Usually one full day. We handle permits, installation, city inspection, everything.

Outlets shouldn’t spark ever. That’s worn contacts or loose wiring – both fire hazards.

If you’ve got expensive electronics, yes. Lightning doesn’t care about your power strips.

Don't Wait Until Something Burns

Electrical problems don’t get better on their own. They get worse until something catches fire or someone gets seriously hurt.

That flickering light becomes an electrical fire. That warm outlet becomes melted wiring. That little shock becomes someone getting really hurt.

Electrical fires spread incredibly fast. Like, terrifyingly fast.
Call us before your warning signs become front-page news.

We’re the electricians in Wylie who actually answer the phone and show up the same day. Usually within a couple hours.

Your lights should work when you flip the switch. Your outlets shouldn’t try to hurt you. Your house shouldn’t make you nervous about using electricity.
