Electricians in Little Elm, TX – When Your House Tries to Zap You

There’s nothing quite like flipping a light switch and hearing a loud pop.
Or plugging in your phone and watching sparks fly. Or walking into your kitchen and smelling something burning but having no idea what it is.

That’s your house telling you it has electrical issues. And electrical issues don’t get better with time. They get worse. Sometimes dramatically worse.

We’re Comfort Experts, and we’ve been saving Little Elm families from electrical disasters for years. They call us the Home of the Electrical Genius because we actually know what we’re looking at when we open up your electrical panel.

We’ve seen outlets that were basically fire hazards waiting to happen. We’ve replaced panels that were older than some of our customers. We’ve wired up smart homes and fixed ancient wiring that looked like someone’s kid did it with crayons.

Your house shouldn’t be trying to zap you every time you flip a switch.

Electricians
We have been in this house 25 years and comfort experts have serviced our furnace and hvac sence the very beginning. Mike was wonderful as expected. We have always had great service and he more than lived up to our expectations.
Daniel A. was courteous and professional while he worked today. He went above and beyond to help us understand the issue with our air unit. He worked quickly and quietly to assess the problem. Before he left, he made sure we understood the ways we could best maintain our air unit.
Danny was so great! He was very patient explaining all of our options helping us to resolve our problems with our upstairs ac unit. He got us up and running in less than 20 min with real solutions to resolve the issue. Very thankful for employees like Danny. Keep hiring people just like him and this will continue to be a growing and profitable business model. Thank you again
Tyler is an easy person to talk with. Very knowledgeable. He explained the maintenance plan to me which I purchased. He also installed a new breaker which was the reason that I called. It seems to me that you have a very professional business. Thank you.
Patrick Thompson
Mark did a great job on our heating tune-up. He replaced our filter and checked all the safety features. He was thorough, professional and friendly. Highly recommend!!
Toby is the best, most respectful and knowledgeable advisor we have ever had. If you need heating or air, he is your guy! Thank you Comfort Experts for hiring amazing employees.
Jeremy came by to check out our AC and we ended up needing a whole new unit. He took the time to walk us through all the options and got us such a good deal that we couldn’t say no. He was awesome to work with and made the whole process super easy. If you need a new AC, Jeremy is the one to call!
Mark D and Tyler B were very professional and knowledgeable. My electric bill had jumped and I knew something had been going on with the outside unit sounding bad. Mark explained what happened and got me fixed right away.
Thanks for the great service!
Michael and Alonso came out to assess our AC which had stopped cooling in the upstairs for about a week and turns out the "return duct" had some damage of the metal ring that goes around to I guess keep it secure and hold its cylinder shape. It's impossible to know when or how it got damaged whether by the installers or the duct cleaners we had in earlier this year. Although they weren't able to fix the issue, they were able to identify the problem and get me scheduled for their Expert to come out the next day to fully assess. They were professional, seemed knowledgeable and quick to complete the assessment and get me on the schedule.
I've owned my house for about five years now, and have trusted Comfort Experts to do much of the repair and maintenance work on it, with outstanding results.

But nothing compared to the scope of my most recent project, a partial re-plumbing of all the fast-deteriorating (and close to breaking) galvanized pipe running throughout my 1920s house – most of which was creatively installed in bizarre ways, many years ago.

So of course, Comfort Experts was my first call.

And I'm incredibly glad it was, because as challenge after challenge was uncovered, the Comfort Expert team worked through and overcame each of them – from an oddly-placed waterline, to the excavation and installation of a new water main through a yard filled with rock and tree roots (shout-out to C&R Excavation!), to reaching barely-accessible areas of the crawl space under the house to replace difficult-to-reach pipes. Etc.

It was a true team effort, and the Comfort Experts technicians handled everything in stride with determination, patience and professionalism.

Tyler B. – only two weeks into his role at the time – was already insulating pipes, navigating the crawl space, and digging holes like he'd been on the job for months.

Zach answered the call when he was needed; squeezing into ridiculously small spaces to access areas otherwise impossible to reach.

Daniel was with me every step of the way, and I was less anxious about the entire project knowing that it was in his very capable hands. He confidently navigated each unforeseen issue – and there were many – while patiently answering my questions and constantly troubleshooting issues with the team.

And then there was Mark W., who was everywhere and seemingly capable of doing everything. He was in the attic running a new drain line for my HVAC. He was under the house installing new pipe. He was hopping into holes with a jackhammer to assist the excavation team. He had a tool for everything, and an answer to every question, and his high standards for excellence – for his own work and that of his team – also gave me great peace of mind.

What started out as a seemingly simple project ended up taking a full 3.5 days – but I am so grateful that Comfort Experts got it done, and was able to do it right. My 100-year old house will stay standing a little while longer thanks to them!

When to Call an Electrician in Little Elm

Most electrical problems don’t just happen overnight. Your house usually gives you warning signs first. Problem is, most people ignore them until something dramatic happens.

  1. Breakers keep tripping: If your breakers pop more than popcorn at a movie theater, something’s wrong.
  2. Lights flicker like a horror movie: Once during a storm? Fine. Every time you turn on the microwave? Not fine.
  3. Outlets feel hot or smell like toast: If there’s no bread in the toaster but you smell burning, that outlet’s in trouble.
  4. Weird buzzing sounds: Electricity should be silent. If it’s making noise, it’s making problems.
  5. Getting shocked by switches: Little zaps are big warning signs. Don’t ignore them.
  6. Your electrical panel is ancient: Still have a fuse box from the disco era? That’s a fire hazard on a timer.
  7. Adding big appliances: New oven, hot tub, or electric car charger? They need serious electrical support.
  8. Renovating or adding rooms: More space means more wiring. Do it right the first time.
  9. Extension cord city: If your house looks like an octopus of power strips, you need more outlets.
  10. Going smart: Smart lights, thermostats, doorbells. If it connects to Wi-Fi, we know how to wire it.

Real Stories from Real Houses

Had a family whose power kept cutting out every time they used the microwave. Turns out their kitchen and laundry room were sharing the same circuit. We split the load and now they can heat up leftovers and dry clothes at the same time.

Wild concept.

Then there was the elderly couple with an electrical panel from 1978. Rusty, overloaded, and basically a fire waiting to happen. They had no idea how dangerous it was. We upgraded the whole thing and gave them peace of mind.

That’s what we do. We solve problems that could turn into disasters.

What It's Like to Work With Us:

  1. You call. A real person answers, not a robot.
  2. We schedule. You pick a time that works, and we show up on time.
  3. We diagnose. No guesswork. We will find the issue and walk you through the fix.
  4. We repair or install. We come ready, with tools in hand.
  5. We clean up. You won’t find bits of wire or drywall on your floor.

Little Elm Electrician FAQs

Depends. Simple swap? Maybe you can handle it. But if there’s no electrical box or new wiring involved, call us. Safer for everyone.

If it’s over 25 years old, gets hot, or has certain brand names (like Zinsco or Federal Pacific), it might be time for an upgrade.

Absolutely. Inside, outside, wherever you need power. We’ll wire it right.

Honestly? It’s risky. One mistake can burn your house down or kill you. Probably worth the service call.

Usually same day. If it’s an emergency, we treat it like one.

Don't Mess Around with Electricity
