Forced Air Electronic Furnace: Common Problems
Under normal conditions, your furnace does its job when winter hits, and it keeps your home warm and comfortable. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case, and there are going to be times when it doesn’t work properly. When that happens, you can call Comfort Experts to see to your heater maintenance needs so life can be comfortable once more.
Some of the problems we find most often include:
Circuit Overload
Sometimes your circuit breaker is tripped, and that stops the flow of electricity to your furnace. We’ll locate the appropriate circuit breaker and make certain it is working properly.
Reset Power
Most electronic furnaces have a reset button. It can restart your system if it’s not working properly. If your circuit breaker isn’t tripped, and we haven’t found another source for the problem, we’ll probably reset the system so it reactivates. This often fixes things, but like resetting your phone often fixes problems you may be having with it.
Dirty Filter
Dirty filters are an easy thing to avoid, but they’re also easy to forget. When they clog up, they affect the flow of air to your system. A clean air filter can make everything work better. When we replace one for you, we’ll also check the assembly to ensure it’s not clogging as well.
Squeaky Fan Belts
Another common problem is a squeaky noise made by a ran belt. We’ll lubricate the fan belts, but if that doesn’t fix things, it may be time to replace them.
Conclusion
Changing filters regularly is relatively easy to do, but many problems causing your furnace to operate improperly should be handled by skilled professionals. One way to avoid problems is to have your system maintained before winter arrives. Preventive maintenance will also increase your system’s lifespan.
