Recent Work
The estimated price has been emailed and is for a customer supplied GFCI/afci breaker to be replaced
Arrived to no cool. Found high voltage going into the transformer but nothing coming from the low voltage side. Replaced transformer with in line low voltage fuse. Put power to system and fuse popped. Checked outdoor contactor and the thermostat. Thermostat has obvious burn marks and was not responsive. Customer approved changing the transformer but not the thermostat. System is still down due to thermostat not working.
System was freezing during operation when I arrived shut off hooked up gauges turned back measured .9 subcool and eventually fell below negative. Leak on evaporator coil found recommend replacement of the system if not then estimates for repair have been emailed. Customer wants to at least ask home warranty if they will cover the repair. Signed up for home and budget protection plan.
After opening up the main panel I realized that all of his eating chgfci and afci breakers were right next to each other producing quite a bit of heat but he does not have the space to separate them out we talked about this and I showed him what kind of breaker we would be replacing it with if we needed to replace it so he bought a surplus and if whenever he needs to change them out he will be calling us

Tech Cody arrived to customer's home, I meant Mr Allison and he guided me inside to the thermostat and access to the indoor unit. It was a 2-year-old heat pump and I started my tune up inside in the Attic. When I got to the indoor unit I replaced the filter, found the evaporator coil to be clean with no signs of corrosion, the blower wheel was clean and the blower motor look to be in good condition. The drain pan was clean and the drain lines were in good condition as well. I then headed downstairs to the outdoor unit, there was a compressor saver installed as well as a surge protector. The inrush amp test for the compressor came back below specifications according to the data tag, the running amps test on the compressor and fan motor both came back well below specifications according to the data tag. The contactor was in good condition, and the electrical box was clean. When I took my refrigerant readings I found the charge on the system to be at good levels, overall the system is in
04/06/24 Tyler- waterheater is 5 years old. Master bathroom toilet is running and cannister flush mech needs to be replaced
For this recall I visited yesterday April 4th during that tune-up I replaced the capacitor due to customers being lifetime P&L. After replacing the capacitor I forgot to turn the breaker back on there for the condenser was not running. I gauged up and took measurements and pressures and temperatures looked good. If I'm leaving the thermostat was set to 72°.
For this super tune-up I inspected the air handler and condenser. All components were measuring within manufacturer's specs except for the capacitor on the condenser which I replaced due to our customers being lifetime parts and labor warranty. Due to biological growth I recommend an IAQ 200/air scrubber as well as a duct cleaning in the future.
Breaker on main panel was tripped after troubleshooting no indication that overload came from equipment. Recommend replacing breaker for it could be going bad and adding some surge protection.
During inspection I found dust build up in downstairs system and a dirty blower wheel. I also found that the return air was undersized. Upstairs blower motor is over amping causing it to over heat and produce sut. Sut has collected on coil and on blower fan. Recommended replacement of blower fan and motor for reliability. Systems are operating at this time
.
Install 60k heat pump outdoor only 3-25-24 Outdoor unit is installed. Picked up cashiers check.
Performed tune up on 5 systems. All units are operating within manufacturers specs.
Upstairs unit - 2006 r22 2 ton hp. Downstairs unit - 2013 410a 3 ton hp. Downstairs compressor opis over amping. Indoor unit has major biological growth. Upstairs is the main system issue. Major biological growth all throughout the Indoor unit. Tstat bus bar is completely corroded and covered in build up. Leaks detected in evaporator coil. Compressor over amping on startup. Reversing valve coil is loose. Low r22 refrigerant. After expressing all of the issue with both systems, homeowners decided to speak with a CA on 3/21/24 @10am. Homeowners asked about tax credit. I advised if one needs to be replaced it would be the upstairs, but due to tax benefits the 10 yo system should be considered.
Tech Cody Brooks arrived to the customer's home. I met Mrs hooton and she directed me inside to the two thermostats for the upstairs and downstairs unit, and showed me the attic access to get to the indoor units. I started in the Attic on the upstairs unit, when I opened it up the cabinet look nice and clean they had a UV light installed, the blower wheel had no dust on it and neither did the coil. The only issue I noticed in the upstairs unit was that the filter was extremely dirty and likely causing airflow issues for the unit, it was in need of change but the homeowners did not have a filter on hand to change out. I then moved to the indoor unit for the downstairs, again when I opened up this cabinet it looked extremely clean and they had a UV light installed, the blower wheel had no dust build up and neither did the coil. The filter was in dire need of replacement, and was most definitely causing airflow restriction in the unit. Next I had to downstairs to the outdoor units, I star
Checking out her panel it's a little old but good wiring put through toany hands though, small details that shouldnt be over looked like the screws are self tappers or the furnace breaker is a different brand so it sticks out a little bit beyond that her plugs were good and gfci's were in the proper locations
Arrived to perform a leak search. Upon starting up the system there was a 12 degree temperature delta. Subcooling was at 4 degrees and superheat was at 30 degrees. System was about a pound low. Recharged system with 14oz of r410a refrigerant. Found very slow leak at the Schrader valve. Replaced Schrader valve under P&L warranty. Compressor saver was installed on this visit.
Armstrong air gas furnace with a straight cool condenser installed in 2015. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Ecm blower motor is acceptable. Gas pressure and igniter are working as they should. Heat exchanger is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Dual run capacitor is within spec. Compressor and condenser fan motor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range.
03/11/24 Tyler s- replaced washers in sink drain that was leaking and also cleared tub/shower drain of hair
Performed coolimg tune up. System is low on refridgerant. Recommended a comfort advisor to come out. He will get back with us to set a time up. Also recommended UV system and installed it.
03/09/24 Tyler S- customer bought a new diverter for his shower valve and the new one he bought was chipped and already broken, so it didn't hold or work. Trip charge and he's getting another diverter to try again.
