During inspection I found low refrigerant levels, a damaged condensing coil, and extremely high Amp draws on the compressor. Cleaned system and waxed Recommended replacement to cust dude to the age of system, no warranty, and r22 refrigerant.

Air handler installed in 2009 with heat pump installed in 2018. All electrical connections are tight with no corrosion. Ecm blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel has some slight build up starting to form on the blades. Evaporator coil is clean. Heat strips are pulling proper amperage. Condenser fan motor and compressor are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. 70/5 dual run capacitor is within tolerance. Technician highly suggests adding a compressor saver kit to the condenser to help with the start up and efficiency of the compressor. Technician also suggests adding attic insulation and surge protection to the home.

02/05/24 Customer showed me the text from dispatch showing they were expecting an AC check-up. Checked out basic plumbing no issues

Install client supplied generator 1-10-24 phase 1 is complete. The customer has elected to have their propane provider hook up the generator. They are scheduled to have it done on Friday. If the propane company is done early enough the homeowner may call in request that I come out and perform a start up.

Trane propane furnace with heat pump installed in 2015. All electrical connections and safeties are tight and working as they should. Ecm blower motor is acceptable. Blower wheel and evaporator coil are clean. Customer did not have a filter and it needs to be changed soon. Gas flow and igniter are in range and working as they should. Heat exchanger is acceptable. Compressor and condenser fan motor are in hood wiring order. Condenser fan motor is a little loud, the technician checked the bearings and found no side to side movement. All amp draws are acceptable. Refrigerant levels are in range. Highly suggest adding a drain safety switch to protect from water damage.

Electrical to plumbing need plumber here on Friday the 13th to check if his water heater has any leaks specifically in the control panel

Compressor capacitor, blower capacitor, primary electrical control. Replaced compressor capacitor, condenser fan motor capacitor and primary electrical control, system is operating at this time.

Customer wet switch was tripped on unit in question. Primary Drain line routed to condensate pump was backing up into coil pan and spilling over tripping the switch informed and showed customer advised Drain clear she agreed. Cleared line and tested after reassembly. Water draining properly system on and cooling.

Upon arrival customer stated zone system unit wasn't cooling downstairs after evaluation, found living room zone was closed, checked all electrical and no problem found on electrical side. Opened zone and checked if zone would open and close upon turning system off and on. Everything working as should. Left system in cooling customer confirmed

Upon arrival for service system off. Inspected system. Found refrigerant low. Leak searched system. Found leak in evap coil. Due to leak being in aluminum replacement would be needed for repair. Due to cost of repairs recommended speaking with engineer. Left system on and cooling.

Did a AHC on 4 year old Carrier heat pump and 16 year old Payne heat pump,tested capacitors,checked filters, flushed drains, found biological growth in the Payne air handler,recommended a compressor saver for both systems, uv lighting, refrigerant levels are good, customer verified unit was working properly when leaving

Upon arrival I went outside to check their package unit, all amp draws and the capacitor rating was within specs. I recommended a compressor saver kit to them to reduce wear on their system and they agreed that it would. Be a good idea. Once I finished installing the compressor saver I checked heating and everything seemed to be functioning how it should.
